چکیده

The KLOE experiment has collected 2.4 pb of integrated luminosity during the commissioning of the DAΦNE φ-factory in 1999. The performance of the detector has been studied using the φ → KLKS decays collected during this period, yielding also first measurements of relevant K parameters such as masses and lifetimes. A clean KS → π π sample is used to select KL → ππ CP-violating decays and KL → KS regeneration events in the detector material. Results on the regeneration probability in a beryllium-alluminum alloy and carbon-fiber plus aluminum composite are presented. Contributed paper ♯ 294 to the XXX International Conference on High Energy Physics, Osaka 27 jul 2 aug 2000.

A Study of the Radiative KL → π±e∓νγ Decay and Search for Direct Photon Emission with the KLOE Detector

We present a measurement of the ratio R = Γ (K e3γ ;E ∗ γ > 30 MeV, θ ∗ γ > 20 )/Γ (K e3) and a first measurement of the direct emission contribution in semileptonic KL decays. The measurement was performed at the DAΦNE φ factory by selecting φ → KLKS decays with the KLOE detector. We use 328 pb of data, corresponding to about 3.5 million K e3 events and about 9000 K 0 e3γ radiative events. Our...

Measurement of the absolute branching ratios for semileptonic K ± decays with the KLOE detector

Using a sample of over 600 million φ → K+K− decays collected at the DAΦNE e+e− collider, we have measured with the KLOE detector the absolute branching ratios for the charged kaon semileptonic decays, K → π0e±ν(γ) and K → π0μ±ν(γ). The results, BR(Ke3) = 0.04965 ± 0.00038stat ± 0.00037syst and BR(Kμ3) = 0.03233 ± 0.00029stat ± 0.00026syst, are inclusive of radiation. Accounting for correlations...

0 Se p 20 05 Measurement of the Absolute Branching Ratio for the K + → μ + ν ( γ ) Decay with the KLOE Detector

We have measured the fully inclusive K+ → μ+ν(γ) absolute branching ratio with the KLOE experiment at DAΦNE, the Frascati φ–factory. From some 865,283 K+ → μ+ν(γ) decays obtained from a sample of ∼5.2 × 108 φ-meson decays, we find BR(K+ → μνμ(γ))=0.6366±0.0009stat.±0.0015syst., corresponding to an overall fractional error of 0.27%. Using recent lattice results on the decay constants of pseudosc...

Studies of K 0 S decays with the KLOE detector at DAΦNE

The KLOE detector at DAΦNE , the Frascati φ-factory, has collected about 30 pb by the end of year 2000. The φ(1020) meson decays about 34% of the times into a K0L-K 0 S pair; DAΦNE is therefore an exceptional source of almost monochromatic, tagged K0S particles, allowing for detailed studies of their more rare decays. The above mentioned integrated luminosity corresponds to about 30 millions pr...
